RESEARCH INTERESTS
From July 2006 until December 2006 I’ll be working for Steven De Gryze on the project: “Regional modeling of greenhouse gas fluxes in California.”
The overall objective of the project is to assess the biophysical potential and economic feasibility for soil C sequestration and reduction of trace gas emissions in California agricultural soils through the integration of spatial databases on environmental factors and land use data with ecosystem simulation models and economic analyses. I’m mainly busy with the data gathering (to use in the ecosystem modeling) on current cropping systems in California and with the validation of the model on specific sites.
Before I arrived here, I’ve been working on GIS and remote sensing projects, both in research and in the private sector.
