RESEARCH INTERESTS
Evaluate how combinations of organic and mineral nutrient resources alter aggregate turnover processes and how this regulates N and C cycling in Sub-Saharan Africa. Of particular interest, I am looking at the influence of quality of the organic resources used in combination with mineral resources, and soil texture on nutrient cycling via aggregate turnover processes. This comes from the realization that nutrient management is the key component for achieving sustainable agriculture and for poverty alleviation, especially in Africa where soil fertility depletion has been noted as the major cause of low food production.
