Translational Research

Background | Research Program | Publications

In the translational research projects, we are moving agricultural research towards utilization in real-world settings.  Using field trials of grape lines with potential resistance to Grape Fan Leaf Virus in collaboration with researchers in Chile, we are determining whether the lines have acceptable agronomic characteristics. Studies of maize landraces from Mexico include analysis of real world cultivation on plant phenotype.  Other projects are developed following evaluation by PIPRA of the intellectual property and freedom to operate landscapes and are done in collaboration with developing countries and commercial requests.
