The world is most beautiful is it's natural state and humankind has removed itself from this order. Since we're removed from the world, it is available for people to make profit at it's expense. Rangelands are a great example and are best understood when thinking about the "tragedy of the commons." Throughout history, ranchers have grazed public lands, and without accountability they seek to capitlize on the resourses available. The result is that half the west is severely overgrazed, California's perrenial rangelands have been completely replaced by invasive annual species, and wild herbivores are being displaced throughout the country. Grazing should be removed from public lands and management goals should be to return our lands to their "natural" state.
