Since joining the Inoue lab in January, 2009, Nick's project has focused on the role of the three thylakoid processing peptidase (TPP) homologues in Arabidopsis. Nick is interested in understanding the significance of the duplications giving rise to the multiple TPP homologues and what altered or overlapping roles they perform within the plastid. He has many interests outside of the lab, including hiking and backpacking, playing soccer, gardening, community service, and playing with my cats.
