
Currently working toward his Ph.D., Rob Duncan's research interests include breeding for host resistance to plant pathogens and host resistance mechanisms. Specifically, his research focuses on aspects of common bacterial blight and white mold resistance in common bean. For this research, he was recognized as the first recipient of the Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. Fellowship in Plant Pathology. Rob is looking forward to a career in plant pathology and plant breeding dedicated to the management of economically important agricultural plant diseases. Advisor: Robert Gilbertson.
