Agricultural Systems and Environment Minor Requirements

Minor useful for the following majors:  The minor is useful to students in majors whose subject matter involves economics, management, the environment and resource sciences.

Benefits:  The minor provides the student with fundamental knowledge of issues involving sustainable agriculture production and range management.  Agriculture is one of the major industries of California and the world, and plays a central role in human affairs.  Linking knowledge of agriculture with the subject matter of the student's major provides a useful and interesting breadth of application in areas involving economics, management, and social and environmental issues.

Preparatory material:  Course in statistics such as Statistics 13, 32, 100, Plant Sciences 120 or Sociology 42B, or equivalent.  Course in plant science such as Plant Sciences 2, Biological Sciences 1C or 2ABC, or equivalent.

Students in the minor select one of the two following tracks:

Sustainable Agriculture track:
