Landscape Restoration Minor

Landscape Restoration Minor – 19-25 units

This minor is of particular interest to students majoring in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology, Environmental Science and Management, Landscape Architecture, Evolution, Ecology and Biodiversity, Biological Sciences, and Plant Biology. Plant Sciences 2 or Biological Sciences 2C are prerequisites to some courses in the minor.

Minor Program Requirements:

ENH 160 and 160L (4) - Restoration Ecology and Lab (Spring)
PLS 192 - Internship in Plant Sciences (at least 3 units)

One of the following courses:

SSC 10 (3) - Concepts of Soil Science (Fall)
SSC 100 (5) - Principles of Soil Science (Fall)

One of the following courses:

ESP 155 (4) - Wetland Ecology (Fall)
EVE/PLB 117 (4) - Plant Ecology (Fall)
PLS/PLB 102 (5) - California Floristics (Spring)
PLS 144 (4) - Trees and Forests (Fall)
PLS/PLB 147 (4) - Survey of Plant Communities of California (Spring)

One of the following courses:

ENH 100 (4) - Urban Forestry (Fall)
ENH 130 (4) - Turfgrass & Amenity Grassland Utilization & Management (Spring)
ENH 133 (4) - Woody Plants in the Landscape (Winter)
PLB 119 (3) - Population Biology of Weeds (Spring)
PLS 176 (4) - Introduction to Weed Science (Winter)

One of the following courses:

PLS 130 (3) - Rangelands: Ecology, Conservation & Restoration (Winter - Even Yrs)
