On behalf of the California delegation, I cordially invite you to the 32nd Rice Technical Working Group meeting (RTWG) to be held February 18 to 21, 2008 at the Westin San Diego, San Diego, California. The newly remodeled Westin is located in the heart of downtown San Diego just a few minutes from the airport and within easy walking distance of many amenities. Please note when making travel arrangements that the first day of registration and the Welcome Reception will be on Monday instead of Sunday as in past years. The complete schedule for the 32nd RTWG is posted on the 32nd RTWG Web site http://www.plantsciences.ucdavis.edu/rtwg.
The Web site also contains information on all aspects of the meeting including registrations, paper submissions, accommodations, transportation, RTWG associated functions, and local attractions. On-line registration is the preferred method. However, registration by mail is available using the downloadable form posted on the Web site Registration page.
Papers may be presented at the 32nd RTWG orally or as a poster. An author may be on an unlimited number of papers and posters. However, an author can only present one, or possibly two oral papers, depending upon available time. Some panels will have a full schedule of oral presentations. We encourage you to be selective about which topics to present orally. There will be plenty of room to accommodate all submitted poster displays, which will be available for viewing throughout the meeting.

There are two Westin hotels in the downtown area; the RTWG is at the Westin San Diego. For those who wish to visit San Diego beyond the conference, rooms are available at the group rate three days before and after the meeting based on the availability.
