Dissertation: The role of phosphorous cycling and soil physical properties in governing the bioavailability of phosphorus in a tropical Ultisol.

Master of Science, International Agricultural Development, University of California, Davis. 1991.
Thesis: Effect of nitrogen fertilization at anthesis on nitrogen uptake, nitrogen uptake efficiency, and grain protein concentration of irrigated wheat in California.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in developing and maintaining sustainable cropping systems. I have worked in both California and Asia. Some specific areas of focus are: (1) carbon and nutrient cycling in agro-ecosystems and its affect on nutrient availability, (2) cropping system management and diversification, (3) crop management affects on water quality, and (4) the use of participatory research for scaling up.
