PLS Wednesday Seminar: Mitchell on Sickness in Oak Seedlings

David Mitchell will discuss, "Organic amendments & soil inoculum effects on Phytophthora cactorum disease in oak seedlings." He's a Ph.D. candidate in the ecology graduate group and works with Valerie Eviner in the landscape restoration field. 

Last fall, he won first place for a presentation about his related work using soil organisms to restore native trees and bushes along streambanks in California, especially in areas formerly grazed by cattle. The recognition came at the 2025 CANVAS conference of three agricultural science societies, shown above. Read about it here.
