Professor Emeritus of Pomology
1920-2016
Kay Ryugo, a retired professor of pomology, died in June 2016, at age 96. He served in WWII, then earned a Ph.D. at UC Davis in plant physiology. He became a professor in the Department of Pomology, and worked there until his retirement in 1988. His expertise was on the production, flowering, and pruning of fruit trees.
