The Davis Botanical Society is presenting this seminar featuring graduate students Katherine Brafford, Brooke Wainwright and Zoe Wood on the field research they conducted with the support of DBS grants.

Pizza will be provided and available at 5:45 p.m.

Student grants are an important part of DBS's program, and these talks are a wonderful opportunity to hear from and encourage the students their organization has funded.

Katherine Brafford will present, "Does medusahead cover alter soil moisture in grasslands?"

Brooke Wainwright will present, "Growth strategies of California grassland plants under drought."

Zoe Wood will present, "Nutrient limitation, insect carrion and volatiles: o sticky, smelly plant traits mediate ecological interactions in the alpine zone?"
