Dr. Sonja Hess will be giving an overview of the CGIAR-led initiative "Fruit and Vegetables for Sustainable Healthy Diets (FRESH)". Hess is a research nutritionist with the Institute for Global Nutrition. Their research focuses on programs that monitor nutrient deficiencies among women and children in low-income countries.
This is part of the department's weekly International Agricultural Development seminar series, organized by Amanda Crump, an associate professor in the department and expert in the IAD field. Students can receive 1 credit for attending the series by enrolling in IAD 190.
